What Makes This Set Special
This is not a generic racing helmet. It is a LEGO Editions release built around a real driver and a real moment in motorsport history, and each element reflects that.
A Design Co-Created with Oscar Piastri
The set was co-designed with Oscar Piastri himself, which gives the helmet an authenticity that fans notice straight away. The result is a model that feels like it belongs to the driver rather than to a catalog.
Papaya on One Side, Signature Blue on the Other
The helmet features McLaren’s iconic papaya color on one side and Piastri’s signature blue on the other, finished with intricate printed details. Turn it on your shelf and you get a different look from each angle, which makes it a more dynamic display piece than a single-color model.
A Celebration of McLaren’s 1,000th Grand Prix
The set was created to commemorate McLaren’s 1,000th Grand Prix. For fans of the team, that milestone gives the build real collectible value: it marks a landmark in a long racing history.

The Building Experience
With 793 pieces, this set sits in a satisfying middle ground: substantial enough to feel like a real project, yet focused enough to enjoy without committing to a giant model. Builders get to watch the curved shell of the helmet take shape and see the printed details come together as the build progresses.
The LEGO Builder app adds helpful extras for those who like digital instructions, such as zooming and rotating the model as you build. It is a relaxing, screen-light hobby for a weekend and a good way to unwind for anyone who enjoys hands-on creative time.
